The World Pilot Gig Championships are a premier annual gig racing event held on the breathtaking Isles of Scilly during the May Day bank holiday weekend.

Since its beginning in 1990 with just a small number of Cornish crews, the Championships have grown into a vibrant festival that attracts pilot gigs from across the World.

Visitors are invited to be part of the action, with tickets available to travel aboard Sea Quest offering a unique opportunity to watch the races up close on the water while enjoying the spectacular island scenery.

Sea Quest will be taking bookings for the Opening Races and Finals, and will be available throughout the day, just hop on and pay your fares.

Please dress appropriately for the conditions.

Temperatures whilst on the sea can be lower than on land.

The boat is covered to protect you from the majority of any inclement weather but its always best to come prepared with a jumper or waterproof coat.
