ABOUT THE TRIP

  • Six black and white Razorbills perched on rocks near the Northern Rocks in the Isles of scilly, one with wings spread.

    What to expect

This is a gentle, scenic, and family-friendly adventure — the perfect way to experience the islands’ thriving marine life and stunning coastal scenery.

This 1.5hr trip only departs from St Martins and heads towards the Eastern Isles or around Tean/St Helens dependant upon weather.

As we make our way across the water, keep an eye out for Atlantic grey seals, often seen hauled out on the rocks or popping up nearby for a curious look. The islands are also home to a wide variety of seabirds, including Razorbills, Guillemots, Shags, and Cormorants. You may even see Oystercatchers along the shore or Terns diving gracefully into the water.

Beneath the surface, you will see various kelp forests in the clear waters and maybe the occasional fish or a glimpse of a Jellyfish drifting in the tide.

  • A harbor seal resting on a rock near the water's edge.

    When its on

Our Wildlife trips run throughout the Season, between April and October. Although every day is dependent on tides and weather we will be sure to contact you before your trip if anything changes to your booking.

We depart from either Lower or Upper Quay on St Martins. Confirmation of which quay and departure time are in the main booking form.

  • Ten Guilemotts perched on a large rock against a blue sky, with one bird spreading its wings.

Temperatures whilst on the sea can be lower than on land.

The boat is covered to protect you from the majority of any inclement weather but its always best to come prepared with a jumper or waterproof coat.
